Alongside her own practice, Denise is a visual artist in schools and on community projects, running workshops and facilitating creative work with people of all ages.

She has developed and run structured one-day workshops, longer projects and also maintained longer residencies in schools in art and design. She has worked regularly with Kings Park Primary School in Boscombe and at Heathlands Primary School in West Howe. Denise is particularly interested in incorporating participant-led input as early as possible into all her sessions and has been a professional artist with Xtreme Arts Studio in Boscombe for the last 4 years.

Both Bournemouth and Poole Borough Councils Arts Development and also WAVE education agency and East Dorset County Council have been commissioners.

Denise is soon to become resident artist in a local Southbourne store using spare storage space as an art studio in return for providing business support services. Previously she won the use of a disused Bournemouth Library to set up as an artist-led studio, producing work for her Fine Art shows in both Bournemouth and London and for the Epilogue show that marked the closure and demolishion of the buiding.
